During my school days the first session of Monday schedule of classes was invariably slotted for Moral Science and it was generally liked by all students; not because we were all budding moralists aspiring to be righteous citizens but simply because we could afford not to pay any attention to it and relax.
I posed this question in IFS KERALA group and triggered the following conversation:
[16/05, 13:25] Trivedi Babuu: There was a similar incident at Marayoor during 2005/2006 when Sri Manoharan was vigilance chief.
[16/05, 13:41] Shivaraju Ifs Retd: I passed through similar situation as a probationary RO in kolzhathupuzha range. Luckily for me Mr. Gurudas, who gave me charge took the onus on him and fought the case for a long time. Then CCF Sivarajan Sir, was kind enough to give us his support along with then APC.
[16/05, 14:26] Trivedi Babuu: The case continued for a long time. The staff were given unofficial support through network of connections in various connected depts to protect the morale of the staff. The end result is not known to me. Pradeep kumar (late konni dfo) was the ACF , marayoor at that time.
[16/05, 20:38] Rajendran DCF E &TW: I think Dharni sir is referring to the same case which is not yet finalised by the court. (as per my knowledge ) 🙏🌹
[16/05, 22:13] Deepak Mishra: Till about 2020, the trial was in progress in Marayur case. To the best of my knowledge the case is still not decided.
It may interest you because your question was asked by a senior IFS officer on reading my story and the conversation flowed like this:
Senior officer from MP: Good one, but the reader would be curious to know what ultimately came out of the dilemma you had in the meeting before HOFF. what was the outcome, could the staff escape action against them?
Myself: Thank you sir. Few things in life are inconclusive therefore there was no definite ending. Anyway, my intention was on the internal dissonance.
Senior officer from MP: Okay. That inconclusiveness could be given a hint of at the end for a curious reader. Well, it is upto the writer what he wants to reveal, and what he wants to leave for the reader to imagine.....
Interestingly described certain hard truths of our life. Enjoyed reading.
Thank you sir.
